Mont Chris Hubbard is a composer, music director, and performer who makes his home in Portland, Oregon. In the past he has played in bands, live and on many a recording. His band Scotland Barr & The Slow Drags won the 2011 Portland Music Award for Album of the Year for their final offering, We Will Be Forgotten (www.scotlandbarr.com).

These days most of his time and energy is taken with musical theatre: composing, accompanying, music directing. Local and national recognition include a 2013 Portland Area Musical Theatre Award for his music direction of Little Shop of Horrors (Broadway Rose Theatre Company), and a 2011 Kennedy Center ACTF Meritorious Achievement Award for his original score and musical direction of The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Lewis & Clark College).

He is the creator of Portland's most endearingly strange variety show, The Mont Chris Hubbard Bonus Show, in which he sings songs with his piano trio and special musical guests, entertaining the audience with bad jokes, fascinating trivia, and unique participation.

Most recently, he has released two new CDs of piano improvisations, continuing his Permutations of 88 project.
